The Sponge Technique...

''How I got a  complete business education
for only $12 while working graveyard
shift at a grocery store...''

You're about to learn how to soak up information like a sponge. If you've ever read a book and couldn't remember enough of it to be useful you're not alone.

Most people have 2 beliefs about business success...

1. Success comes from the information I know.
2. I don't know enough.

Can you see the problem here?

They buy and consume more information but rarely take action on it. Why?

Because they don't remember enough of what they consume. The moment they try to take action, their mind goes blank. They get frustrated and go back to what's comfortable...consuming information.

People like us want to instantly recall info so we can use it without wasting time. Let's fix it now.

First thing to do is get some earbuds if you don't have any. Get a cheap pair (mine were $12). It's going to be the best investment you ever make. You'll see why in a moment.

Next go to your local library and get a library card. This is your pass to the greatest wealth of information ever - and it's FREE.

But why would we borrow from the library instead of buying books off amazon? 2 reasons:

1. It's free from the library.

2. There's a time limit to use it. Studies have shown you're more likely to use something you borrow now than something you own.

BUT the big reason we want to access the library is Libby.

What's Libby you ask? It's the gateway to start absorbing information like a sponge.

Libby is an app that connects to your local library and lets you check out digital materials like ebooks and audiobooks.

When you check out digital materials it downloads them to your Libby app. Like a regular library book you have 2 weeks to read or listen to it.

This technique will focus on audio books. (But I've included a brilliant bonus technique for you if you like reading.)

Here's where the magic happens. The Libby app lets you play audio books at 2X speed.

Listening at 2X speed keeps your mind from wandering. We also learn better fast than slow. It's the best use of your time because you get through an 8 hour book in 4 hours.

In an 8 hour shift I got through an audio book twice. 5 days a week X 2 = 10 listens to a book!! Most people are lucky if they get through a book once. I get through it 10 times.

So how do I recall 80-90% more info than the average person? Because I listen to it 10 times more than they do.

Can you see how this will give you an unfair advantage over others?

Imagine recalling solutions from books you've read the moment a problem comes up. To everyone around you, you look like a genius. How do you always seem to know what to do? Simple you remember the info you consume.

This is the easiest way to take what you know and start acting on it.

Bonus: If you're a reader want to kick the up to the next level do this...

Information is stored in different parts of your brain depending on whether you're reading or listening. But your recall can be made stronger when you start checking out a physical copy of a book along with the audio book.

It's crazy how much more you understand.

Read along with the book as you listen to it. Now you're storing information in 2 different parts of your brain at the same time. Game changer.

3 simple steps to absorb information FOR FREE.

First thing to do is get some earbuds. If you don't already have a cheap pair - get one - it's going to be the best investment you ever make. You'll see why in a moment. (I got mine for $12)

Next go to your local library and get a library card. This is a free pass to the greatest wealth of information you'll ever have. It's still amazes me how many people will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a degree and still don't have a library card. But why would we borrow from the library instead of buying books off amazon? Several reasons.

1. It's free from the library

2. There's a time limit to use it. When there's a time limit to use something, you're more likely to take action.

BUT the big reason we want to access the library is Libby.

What's Libby you ask? It's the gateway to start absorbing information like a sponge.

Libby is an app that connects to your local library and lets you check out digital materials. (Think ebooks and audiobooks) What's great about this is when you check out digital materials it downloads them to your Libby app. Just like a regular library book you have a limited time to read or listen to the material because there's usually someone else waiting to borrow it too. When the material is due back it disappears from your app.

But here's where Libby really shines... When you listen to an audiobook, you can listen to it at 2X the speed. Here's why this is important.

Listening at 2X speed keeps your mind from wandering. It also lets you get through an 8 hour book in 4 hours. Which during an 8 hour shift I was able to get through an audio book twice. 5 days a week X 2 = 10 listens to a book!!

Most people are lucky if they get through a book once. I get through it 10 times. Most people when they read something only remember about 5% of what they read according to science. I can recall 80-90% more of what I consume than the average person because I listened to it 10 times more than they do.

Can you see how this will give you an unfair advantage over others?

Imagine being recall solutions from books you've read the moment a problem comes up. To everyone around you, you look like a genius. How do you always seem to know what to do? Because you remember the info you consume.

Stop consuming information and start absorbing it. This is the way to take what you know and start acting on it.
